NPFL Transfer: Enyimba unveil five more players

Date:

Eight-time Nigeria Professional Football League champions, Enyimba Football Club of Aba have added five new players to their squad ahead of the 2022/23 campaign.

Four of the new additions were signed from their oriental rivals, Heartland Football Club of Owerri.

The quartet are: Chibuike Nwaiwu, Nonso Nzediegwu, Murphy Ndukwu and Chijioke Mbaoma.

Nwaiwu, who penned a two-year contract with the People’s Elephant comes as a direct replacement for Ghana midfielder, Farouk Mohammed, who dumped the club for current NPFL champions, Rivers United after five years in Aba.

Nzediegwu and Ndukwu are wingers, who are expected to bring pace and explosiveness to team’s attack.

Versatile Mbaoma, who also signed a two-year contract, is another player expected to help the Aba giants do well in the new season.

Similarly, the two-time African champions have completed the signing of James Oransaya from Nigeria National League outfit, Gateway United on a three-year deal.

The defensive midfielder, who was captain of Gateway United before completing the move to Enyimba, scored five goals for the club last season.
