NPL: Dominant Remo Stars pip Lobi, revive title hopes

Date:

Remo Stars recorded their first win in the Nigeria Premier League Super Six playoffs edging out Lobi Stars 2-0 on Friday night.

Junior Lokosa headed Remo Stars in front from Sodiq Ismail’s cross on 17 minutes.

The second goal arrived 10 minutes later with the lively Adams Olamilekan bending the ball home from a cut back by
Seun Ogunribide.

Remo Stars moved to second place on the table following the victory with six points from five games.

Mohammed Babaganaru’s Lobi Stars have garnered two points from same number of matches.

Lobi Stars are virtually out of the title race and also have a slim chance of securing a continental ticket.
