NSF Delta 2022 : Lagos Win Gold In Scrabble At The On Going National Sports Festival

A Lagos State and World ranked scrabble player, Olatunde Oduwole, who is an indigene of Lagos State, has won the first gold medal, in Scrabble, Masters Singles event, at the ongoing National Sports Festival in Asaba, Delta State.

The coach of Lagos State Scrabble and Monopoly Association, Akinfemisoye Ayomiposi, who is elated over the feat, said the State’s was appreciative of the scrabble player for making the State proud at the Games.

The Scrabble coach, who labelled Oduwole as a reliable player, who always win laurels for the State in major competition’s, said the gold medalist was one of the greatest scrabble players on world based on his articulated skills and luck which pave the way for him to emerge as tournament’s champion.

According to him, Oduwole’s mental and intellectual capacities in the game of scrabble, has a positive impact, in the ranking of Nigeria as the best adjudged Scrabble playing nation in the world,.stressing that the scrabble player was poised to winning Africa’s and World’s Scrabble tournament.

The association, which is featuring twelve scrabble players at the Games, is expecting four Gold medals from twelve events.
