Nothingham Forest manager, Nuno Espírito Santo has revealed Taiwo Awoniyi will start training with the group in two weeks and could return to action very soon.
The Nigerian, 26, had a groin injury while on international duty with Nigeria and had to undergo surgery.
Awoniyi has already begun individual training and Nuno told the media in his pre-match presser ahead of their FA Cup replay at Bloomfield Road against Blackpool on Wednesday the update on the Nigerian.
‘He’s progressing now. He’s already training on the pitch doing some individual work.

‘Hopefully in two weeks’ time he can start joining the group and then it’s about how he feels and getting back the fitness levels,’ said Nuno.
Awoniyi has not featured for Forest in the Premier League since November 12 when he scored in the 3-2 defeat at the London stadium against West Ham.
He is Forest’s second highest goal scorer in the Premier League with four goals, three less than Chris Wood.
