Odibe Declares: God Turns Stress Into Success

Former Super Eagles defender, Michael Chukwuwike Odibe (Asaba) has joined the growing number of Nigerian players rolling out emotional and philosophical messages on social media.

In an apparent hint that he kept his trust in spiritual strength, when he faced several setbacks in his career, Odibe has declared emphatically that God turns stress into success.

The former First Bank FC of Lagos, Arsenal Kiev of Ukraine and Concordia of Romania stopper, whose only cap for the Eagles came in a friendly tie with Sierra Leone at Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos on February 9, 2011, however, also stated that patience is needed to tap into God’s blessings.

Interestingly, Odibe, who normally cites his present residence in Cyprus, but is officially registered with Romanian Liga II side, Farul Constanța, adds that it is common for people to get frustrated when they wait long to receive from God things they believe they deserve.

He goes on, though, to stress that the best way to receive divine gifts and get answered prayers is to avoid frustration and aggravation at a point one’s time of waiting appears prolonged or elongated.

Odibe stated: “Have you ever experienced the stress of waiting for something you are overdue for?

“Have you ever waited until you became frustrated or even aggravated? It is not uncommon.

“But, whatever you do, do not give up on God. He will show up and turn your Stress to Success.”
