Nigeria’s Favour Ofili was in superb form once again as she scorched to a new 7.17s personal best in the 60m event.
This she achieved Saturday at the University of New Mexico Classics.
The event was held at the Albuquerque Convention Centre, the same venue where she set a new African 200m indoor record also had some other Nigerians in action.
Rosemary Chukwuma ran a new 7.25 seconds PB to finish fifth while Ese Awusa ran 7.58 seconds to place eighth.
Nigeria-born Irish sprinter Rashidat Adeleke of University of Texas ran 7.21 seconds to finish third.
Alia Armstrong also of Louisiana State University won the race with 7.16s, the sixth fastest 60m time in LSU history.
Ofili’s time ranks as the eighth fastest in the University history and ninth fastest in the Nigeria all-time list.
