Ogu, Onyekuru Fly Together Into Eagles’ Camp

Hapoel Be’er Sheva of Israel midfielder, John Ugochukwu Ogu has stated delight in his ability to link up with Galatasaray of Turkey striker, Henry Onyekuru for a flight home to the Super Eagles’ camp.

Onyekuru and Ogu were among the earliest arrivals at the Eagles’ camp in Asaba, ahead of Friday’s last match of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Seychelles, for which they got together to chat during airport transit.

The match on Friday at Stephen Keshui Stadium is a mere formality, as Nigeria have already qualified for the 2019 AFCON in Egypt, against who they will play an international friendly at same venue next Tuesday.

Ogu took to social media to reveal his reunion with Onyekuru and another player, as they traveled home to keep the national team assignment, with a verdict that they were heading home to keep a date with duty in honour of their fatherland.

While depicting some photographs they had together at the airport, Ogu wrote in addition to his posts: “On our way to International duty.”
