Sprinter Blessing Okagbare and sprinter hurdler Tobiloba Amusan will continue their chase for IAAF Diamond League points and cash to London this weekend as the money-spinning 14-leg elite meeting makes it 10th of 14 stops at the 2019 Muller Anniversary Games at the London stadium.Image result for Okagbare, Amusan Chase IAAF Diamond League points To London.

While Okagbare will be eager to confirm her lane for the final stop of the IAAF Diamond League train at the AG Memorial Van Damme in Brussels next month, Amusan will hope to still be in the hunt after the race in London this weekend.

Okagbare has amassed 15 points from the two 100m races she has run this year, coming second behind USA’s HOBBS Aleia in Shanghai in May before running 11.05 seconds to win in Rabat on June 16.

The reigning African 200m record holder can confirm her place in the final with a top four finish this weekend with just one race left in qualifying (Paris on 24 August).

Okagbare will also be looking to make history with her third straight win in the Diamond League following the 100m win in Rabat and the 200m win at the Prefontaine Classics in Stanford, California, USA last month.

For Amusan, a top four finish will as well keep her in the hunt for one of the eight tickets on offer for the final in Brussels with just the August 18 Birmingham event left for qualification.

Amusan will also be seeking her first win in the event since she made her debut last year May at the Golden Gala in Rome.

The petite Nigerian can bank on her record on at the London stadium track to get a respectable finish. Last year she placed third behind world record holder, Kendra Harrison of the USA and Williams.
