Newly appointed Director General (DG) for the National Sports Commissioner (NSC), Bukola Olapade and Flying Eagles assistant coach, Isaiah ijaiya where some of the football personalities that were at Ikenne, Remo, Ogun State to grace the ongoing SPOCS U19 Scouting Tournament.
The tournament which has 32 top teams participating has been lighting up the soccer city with great football which Olapade was full of praises for the organisers of the program for putting up such a topnotch event.
The program entered Day 3 today with only the best performing teams with selected players left in the tournament to compete.
“This is highly impressive and commendable and we would to applaud the organizers for the program.
“Government alone cannot do it alone, the reason we will continue to encourage more private involvement in sports”.
While speaking himself concerning the tournament, the national U20 Flying Eagles assistant coach, Isaiah Ijaiya said he has been impressed with the quality of football and the performances of teams in the tournament.
“The tournament has been highly competitive and interesting all kudos to the organizers.
“I think I’m impressed with what I have seen so far”, he said.
In some of the matches played yesterday, African Football Holding were in killer mood as they decimated Stormers FC by 3-1.
PGI lost 1-0 to Sporting Dreams while MKA FC played out goalless against YAFA FC
The competition ends on Wednesday.
