The head coach of the Flamingos, Bankole Olowookere, has acknowledged the pressure on him and his technical team to perform at the upcoming FIFA Under-17 Women’s World Cup in the Dominican Republic.
The team is currently on a two-week training tour in Santo Domingo in preparation for the tournament.
They were held to a 1-1 draw in warm game in the early hours of Tuesday and the coach, while speaking to Brila FM, said they are working hard to handle the pressure.
“We know expectations are high, and my technical crew and I are working hard to prepare the girls to handle that pressure,” he said.
Flamingos are housed in group A alongside Ecuador, New Zealand and the host Dominican Republic.
