Ondo 2024: 18 lawmakers backing Aiyedatiwa, says Speaker

Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Olamide Olajide, has said that a total of 18 lawmakers are in support of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa to emerge as the party’s candidate in the November governorship election.

Speaker Olajide spoke in Akure at the official declaration of Governor Aiyedatiwa.

Olajide said lawmakers elected on the platform of other political parties were in support of Aiyedatiwa.

He said: “Ondo Assembly has agreed to support Aiyedatiwa. Even those who are not in the APC are with us in this struggle and by the grace of God, we will arrive at the Promised Land. I appeal to our leaders to go back to their wards and do the needful. Let reconciliation continue so that we will deliver Lucky as the party’s candidate.”
