Orbih Excited Over Badminton Gymnasium In Abuja

Badminton Federation of Nigeria (BFN) president, Francis Orbih has spoken with excitement about the quality of a badminton gymnasium that is set to be constructed at Abuja National Stadium.

Orbih is excited that the BFN’s partnership with experts in China is paying off in multiple dimensions, with the new gymnasium in Abuja part of the gains.

Although Orbih admitted that bureaucracy in the sports ministry is tying down the gymnasium’s take off, he enthused that it would eventually be wonderful seeing Abuja National Stadium with 10 badminton courts.

Orbih disclosed: “The gymnasium will be the biggest in this country and Africa. It will also have hostel facilities, offices and shops attached to it.

“The Chinese organisation has donated it and will build it free of charge for us, but the ministry officials are still slowing us down.

“We need to know where they are giving us a land and come up with a concept for the design; then the Chinese company will implement it.”
