Origi, Lukaku out of Belgium squad against Wales and Netherlands

Divock Origi and Romelu Lukaku have been left out of the Belgium squad, while Alexis Saelemaekers and Charles De Ketelaere have been called-up for games against Wales and The Netherlands.

Roberto Martinez has named his squad for the upcoming Nations League fixtures and must do without Lukaku and Origi, who are currently dealing with injuries.

The ex-Chelsea forward suffered an injury to the flexor at the end of August and is expected to be back after the break. He has spent part of his recovery time in Belgium, followed by a specialist.

Origi has played 81 minutes across all competitions this season, but recent exams highlighted an injury to his tendons, which is worse than initially feared.

On the other hand, his teammates Saelemaekers and De Ketelaere have made it to the Belgium team and will be available for the next two games against Wales and The Netherlands on September 22 and 29, respectively.
