Super Falcons and Barcelona Femeni star Asisat Oshoala has return to training with the Spanish club after a spell on the sidelines not thanks to injury.
Oshoala has been on the sidelines after sustaining a knee ligament injury with Nigeria at the 2022 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations in July forcing her out of the closing matches of the tournament that saw the Falcons crashing out in the semi finals.
Barcelona announced the former Super Falcons captain’s return to training on their official Twitter handle on Tuesday.
The short message “SHE’S BACK 🦅” was accompanied with a picture of the Africa’s Women’s Player of the Year.
Oshoala has been plagued by injuries in recent seasons.
The 27-year-old was joint top scorer in the Spanish Iberdola last season. Oshoala who was part of the Barcelona Femeni squad that clinched the Uefa Champions League last season would be hoping to enjoy a new comeback devoid of injuries especially ahead of the next FIFA world cup in New Zealand and Australia.
Super Falcons who failed to clinch their usual Nations Cup title this year however boast of a world cup ticket where they will again attempt to post a better finish .
