Nigeria’s Super Eagles midfielder Ogenyi Onazi has hailed national team-mates Victor Osimhen for his impressive performance for Napoli in the Italian Serie A.

The lanky Nigeria attacker has been the main man in European football this season making a huge impact on the impressive outing of the Nerrazuri.

While speaking to the Italian news outlet Tuttomercatoweb, he said Osimhen deserved to be named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) this season.

“He deserves MVP for what he’s done in Serie A and also for what he’s done this season in the Champions League. I have no doubts.

“Victor Osimhen continues to grow and will do even better. In Nigeria we have had strikers who have written football history but Osimhen is still a starter and, I think for him only the sky will be the limit”, he said.

Onazi who was part of the victorious Super Eagles team in the 2013 African Cup of Nations has also played in Italian football having represented Lazio and Casertana in the past.
