Para Athletes Hails Adeboye Over Festival Re-Instatement

Para athletes in Lagos, has praised the Senior special assistant on Sports to Lagos state governor, Adeboye Anthony Adeyinka, for the role he played in appealing to the sports minister to help the special athletes partake in the forth coming national festival in Delta state.

It will be recalled that, last week, the special athletes took to the streets in Lagos, protesting their removal from the Sports festival, but for the swift intervention of the SSA on Sports, who spoke to the Protesting athletes last week, promising them, that, their situation will be relayed to the sports minister and they will get positive results, and just yesterday the Sports minister, reinstated the para sports for festival, to the delight of the athletes who prayed for the minster and Adeboye.

One of the athletes, who pleaded animosity, said, they are heavily grateful to the SSA, for playing a good role in pleading with the minster of sports.

“On behalf of my other athletes, we are very grateful to the SSA, for his fatherly role in helping us speak to the minister, and we thank the minister for sports for his understanding and we are happy we will participating in the festival” he said.
