Paris 2024: Super Falcons players’ official squad numbers confirmed

The squad numbers for Nigeria’s Super Falcons in the 2024 Olympic Games have been unveiled.

Star forward Asisat Oshoala will wear the number 8 jersey, goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie will sport number 16, and Christy Ucheibe from Benfica will don the prestigious number 10 shirt.

Chukwunonye Macleans, playing in Russia, has been assigned number 9, while Nicole Payne takes over the number 4 jersey previously worn by the injured Ashleigh Plumptre.

Toni Payne retains her number 7, and captain Rasheedat Ajibade sticks with number 15.

Other numbers include Osinachi Ohale (3), Tosin Demehin (14), Jennifer Echegini (11), and Uchenna Kanu (12).

The Super Falcons will kick off their campaign against Brazil at Stade Bordeaux on Thursday. Randy Waldrum’s team will also face world champions Spain and Japan in their group matches.
