Tobi Amusan has been selected as the flag bearer for Team Nigeria during the upcoming 2024 Olympic Games opening ceremony in Paris.
The announcement was made by Tony Nezianya, press officer of the Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC).
Anuoluwapo Opeyori, a prominent badminton player, has been appointed as the team captain.

Opeyori, who has been representing Nigeria since 2017, secured victories at the African Championships and African Games in 2019, and participated in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
Amusan, known for her prowess in the 100m hurdles and reigning world champion title, is considered one of Nigeria’s strongest contenders for medals in Paris.
The 2024 Olympic Games are set to commence in Paris on Friday.
