Nigeria’s Chukwuebuka Enekwechi has secured a spot in the men’s shot put final at the 2024 Olympic Games.
Enekwechi advanced to Saturday’s final after finishing fifth in qualification Group B with a throw of 21.13 meters.

At 31 years old, Enekwechi is the first Nigerian athlete to reach the final of any event at the current games.
Four years ago in Tokyo, Enekwechi also reached the shot put final, and he will be aiming to secure a podium finish this time around.
