Plateau United Center Back, Emmanuel Ifeanyi Becomes NPFL Joint-top Scorer

Plateau United central defender, Emmanuel Ifeanyi has scored four goals in five matches to emerge the joint-highest goal scorers in the 2023 Nigeria Professional Football League campaign.

Emmanuel has same number of goals with Bendel Insurance striker, Imade Osehenkhoe who also scored four in five games. While Imade Osehenkhoe goals pushed Insurance to the top of the table, Plateau United are struggling in the league.

Plateau United have garnered seven points in five matches sitting in the mid-table just three points above the relegation water in the group A of the abridged league.

Bendel Insurance topped the group with 15 points from 5 games while Remo Stars in the second position have 12 points from the same number of matches.

Nasarawa United and El-Kanemi Warriors have one point and four points respectively as both teams are on the relegation zone.
