Pochettino Excited By New Spurs Stadium

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino hopes the club can move into their new stadium in January or February, The Guardian reports.

Speaking ahead the London derby against Chelsea at Wembley on Saturday, Pochettino revealed that he had this week taken a tour of the new Spurs stadium and was excited to see the facilities.

He said: “We are so disappointed because we expected to play in 2018 at the new stadium and it should have been ready to play before the end of the year but that is not going to be possible and we need to wish and hope that in January or February we can move there.

“[On Wednesday] we were there, checking the facilities, the changing rooms, everything, and we are so excited, we cannot wait to move there. We understand it is a fantastic project for the future of the club that will be forever. To wait maybe one or two months more – we need to have patience.”

“This is a big boost for everyone and another demonstration of how the players we have at this club are committed, not just to our present but our future also.” %uD83D%uDE4Chttpss://

Liverpool striker Sadio Mane has agreed a new long-term contract. The BBC reports that the 26-year-old’s new deal will run until 2023.

The Senegal international told the Liverpool website: “I am very happy, very happy to extend my time at Liverpool. It is a great day for me and now I am looking forward to everything – to helping the team, to helping the club achieve our dreams and, especially, to win trophies.

“I’ve always said, when I knew I had a chance to come here I didn’t have to think twice. The right club in the right moment and with the right coach as well. I came here and was very happy. For me, I have made the best decision in my career.”
