The Organizing Committee of the Gateway Games 2024 National Sports Festival has officially announced Premium Trust Bank as the lead sponsor for the upcoming event. This partnership marks the largest single sponsorship agreement in the history of the National Sports Festival.
The announcement was made during a grand unveiling ceremony in Abeokuta, highlighting the importance of public-private collaborations in advancing sports development in Nigeria. The partnership aligns with the vision of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration to foster a sustainable sports economy.
As Nigeria aims to build a self-sufficient sports sector, the National Sports Festival Organizing Committee expressed confidence that this partnership will significantly enhance the Games and contribute to the overall growth of the sports industry.
Key dignitaries at the unveiling included Olatokunbo Talabi, Secretary to the Ogun State Government; Wasiu Isiaka, Ogun State Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development; Mr. Shina Atilola, Executive Director of Premium Trust Bank; Oluwaseyi Johnson, Chief of Staff to the NSC Director General; Mrs. Modele Sharafa, Chairman of the Opening and Closing Ceremonies LOC; Mrs. Kehinde Ajayi, NSC Director of Press; and Mr. Oladipupo Idowu, Assistant Director at the National Sports Festival Department, among others.
This collaboration is expected to raise the profile of the Ogun 2024 National Sports Festival, setting a new standard for corporate involvement in Nigerian sports.
