Prosperity Cup DG Felicitates with Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development

Director General of the Bayelsa State Governor’s Football Tournament tagged the “Prosperity Cup.” Mr Ono Akpe has felicitated with the Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Chief Daniel Igali on the occasion of his birthday.

Mr Akpe in a statement said Hon Igali is a leader worth celebrating for his outstanding accomplishments as commissioner for Youths Sports Development, pointing out that his appointment as sports commissioner has changed the fortunes of Bayelsa State in Sports for good.

The statement lauded the commissioner for his outstanding contributions to the growth and development of sports under his watch as commissioner, describing the appointment of Igali as a perfect definition of round peg in a round hole.

According to him, the celebrated Olympic and World gold medalist has given the prosperity cup a facelift and describes Hon Igali as a global ambassador that has given the State a positive image globally.

Mr Akpe thanked Governor Douye Diri for using a renowned Sports administrator as Sports Commissioner, and that his contributions so far which include ensuring Bayelsa State had podium finish at various National Sports Festivals ,the National Para Games, among others, remain indelible in the hearts of many.

The statement wishes Hon Igali God’s continuous protection and grace in his quest to deliver his assignment as commissioner for Youth and Sports Development.
