PSG pick Arsenal target as Kylian Mbappe’s replacement

Date:

Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly identified Arsenal target Moussa Diaby as a potential replacement for forward Kylian Mbappe should the France international eventually leave Parisians this summer.

Mbappe, who snubbed a move to Real Madrid last summer, is said to be linked with a move to the Spanish La Liga champions this summer.

According to El Nacional, Real Madrid are preparing a whopping €200 million bid for Mbappe in the upcoming summer transfer window.

PSG, however, are not keen on losing Mbappe, with the impending departure of another high-profile player, Lionel Messi, on the cards.

The French Ligue 1 champions are determined not to let Mbappe leave too. However, if no new deal is inked, they may be powerless to prevent his exit in a year.

As a result, the report added that PSG and its president Nasser Al-Khelaifi are reportedly keen to sign Diaby, who currently plays for Bayer Leverkusen and has attracted the attention of Arsenal, Chelsea, and Liverpool.

This news comes amid reports of Mbappe’s dissatisfaction with PSG manager Christophe Galtier’s management blueprint.

Mbappe will become a free agent in 2024.
