Qatar 2022: Luis Suarez reacts as Lionel Messi reaches World Cup final

Date:

Former Barcelona striker Luis Suarez has reacted to Lionel Messi and Argentina’s qualification for the final of the 2022 FIFA World in Qatar.

He described his former teammate and friend as an ‘incredible’ player after the legendary forward led Argentina to the milestone on Tuesday.

The 35-year-old Messi netted one from the spot and assisted another as the South Americans beat Croatia in the semi-final and are now one match away from finally getting his hands on the World Cup trophy.

And Manchester City’s Alvarez slotted home to double Argentina’s lead before half-time.

Messi and Alvarez then combined to score Argentina’s third in the second half.

“You never get tired of showing that you are the best in the world,” Suarez said on Instagram.

“The whole world stops to applaud this guy and what he’s given to football. Incredible my friend!”
