Rangers U-15 youth team will this morning, Friday, April 14, 2023, kick start its matches in the 2023 NPFL/La-Liga U-15 Promise Youth League when it trades tackles with last season’ first runner-up, 3SC U-15 team inside the Remo Stars stadium, Ikenne, Ogun State.
The coach Izuchukwu Okoronkwo tutored side is brimming with confidence going into this fixture that starts at 10.00 a.m almost all the players presented passing the screening exercise conducted by the organizers of the annual competition for the youth teams of all teams in the NPFL.
With the likes of Jacob Peter, David Ejas, Chigozie Ajoku, and Godswill Usoro in their elements, Coach Okoronkwo is sure of delivering the goods against last season’s losing finalist in this Group D opening encounter.
Coach Okoronkwo said, ahead of the encounter, “We are fully prepared for the opening match of the competition and with God on our side, we shall come out victorious. The players are in the right frame of mind for a smooth start against our opponent, 3SC.”
Rangers’ administrative secretary, Barrister Ferdinand Ugwuarua, while addressing the team, charged them to be good ambassadors and give their best at all times, stressing, “It is my belief that you are champions going into the competition and you shall come out of this opening encounter with a massive win to show other teams in the competition that we are here for real business.”
Other teams in Group D of this year’s competition are Gombe United and El-Kanemi.
