Ademola Lookman has warned that Atalanta must be at their best to overcome holders Real Madrid in their UEFA Champions League clash on Tuesday.
Atalanta will host the La Liga giants at Gewiss Stadium in a crucial sixth-round group stage match.
This will be the second meeting between the two sides this season, with Real Madrid having defeated Atalanta 2-0 in the UEFA Super Cup in August.
However, Atalanta are currently in excellent form both in Serie A and in Europe.
Gian Piero Gasperini’s side are top of Serie A and remain unbeaten in the Champions League this season, sitting fifth in the group standings.
Lookman acknowledged the challenge ahead, saying, “It will be a very difficult match for us tomorrow. We will be very focused on how to approach the game.
Tomorrow is an added challenge for us—what has happened in the past is behind us, and we now have the opportunity to give our best.”
