Reuben Gabriel Joins Nigeria’s Saudi Arabia Legion

Former Super Eagles battling midfielder, Reuben Gabriel has joined the growing legion of Nigerian players in Saudi Arabia, following his move to highly-ambitious Najran Sport Club.

The 28-year-old dark-skinned star’s latest move was confirmed by Prince Mohammad bin Salman, who officially disclosed that Gabriel has joined the second-tier team on a free transfer from KuPS of Finland.

The former Kaduna United, Enyimba, Kano Pillars midfielder has previously played for Kilmarnock of Scotland, Waasland-Beveren of Belgium, Boavista of Portugal and SK Trencin of Slovakia.

Salman said his club is happy to sign Gabriel, who was in the Super Eagles squad that won the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations in South Adfirca, despite not playing a single match.

Gabriel was also in Nigeria’s squad to Brazil 2014 World Cup, and he played against France in the second round match, as a substitute for Eddy Ogenyi Onazi.
