REVEALED: Newcastle have agreement to sign Atlanta attacker Almiron

Newcastle United have an agreement to sign Atlanta United attacker Miguel Almiron.

The Daily Mail says Newcastle have agreed to sign Paraguay playmaker Almiron from Atlanta United of MLS, but are waiting for the deal to be signed off.

Benitez said he will press ahead with next month’s transfer plans.

Speaking before Wednesday’s trip to Everton, he said: “We have to carry on. Lee Charnley (managing director) told me it’s business as usual so will we change what we do? No.

“Steve Nickson (head of recruitment) will be watching players, giving me names.”
