Date:

“It has been very interesting and very studious but I must tell you. As soon as last season ended, we never rested, we had to swing into action considering the fact that we are behind CAF calendar, we had to do everything possible to see if we could raise a team to play in the Champion league and I think that’s what we are doing now.”

“We have injected some new players into the team, only few of them and I think that most of them are responding and their performance is encouraging and I believe that if we keep working this way, we can get there but it’s still work in progress.”

Rivers United and Akwa United are involved in a two-legged pre-season friendly games and will confront Akwa United in the return leg on Tuesday 31st August 2021.
