Portuguese football legend Cristiano Ronaldo has been named Best Middle East Player at the 16th edition of the Globe Soccer Awards, held in Dubai on Sunday.

The 40-year-old Al-Nassr forward prevailed over rivals including Karim Benzema, Riyad Mahrez, and Salem Al-Dawsari in a fan-voted category recognising top performers in the region’s leagues.

Renowned football journalist Fabrizio Romano confirmed the award on X, posting: “Cristiano Ronaldo wins Best Middle East Player Award at Globe Soccer 2025.”

This marks Ronaldo’s second consecutive win in the category, following his 2024 triumph, highlighting his sustained impact in the Saudi Pro League since joining Al-Nassr in 2023.
