Ronaldo plans to delay retirement for his eldest son’s progress

Manchester United ace Cristiano Ronaldo has revealed he may delay retirement for his eldest son.

Cristiano Jr is contracted to United’s academy and Dad admits he’s received a plea from Junior regarding retirement.

“My son tells me: ‘Dad, wait a few more years – I want to play with you’,” said Ronaldo.

Ronaldo, 37, has a contract with Manchester United which runs until the summer of 2023 with the option to extend for another season.

This season he has scored nine goals in 22 Premier League appearances.
