Manchester United star, Cristiano Ronaldo, has insisted that he will never put his eldest son, Cristiano Jr, under pressure to follow in his footsteps and pursue a professional career in football.
Ronaldo recently branded Cristiano Jr, the ‘present and future’, after sharing pictures on Instagram of him and his son playing football together.
The 36-year-old was seen running around the pitch topless while his son, who joined Man United’s academy when his dad sealed a sensational return to the Red Devils last summer, donned the club’s training top.
However, Ronaldo opened up on his support for his children during girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez’s new Netflix series ‘I Am Georgina’.
On Cristiano Jr, 11, pursuing a career in football, Ronaldo said: “Only time will tell. I will never pressure him. He will do what he wants.
He added, “Also, what I want the most for Cristianito and everyone else is that they’re happy and that they choose what they want. I will support him in any way.”
Ronaldo has three other children, Eva Maria and Mateo, as well as four-year-old daughter Alana Martina.
