Russia’s war in Ukraine not going as Moscow planned – NATO makes fresh revelation

NATO Secretary General, Jens Stoltenberg, has revealed that Russia’s war in Ukraine is not going as Moscow have planned,

Stoltenberg said this while speaking to reporters via a video link on Sunday, according to CNN.

He said that Russia has failed to take over Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine, adding that they are pulling back from around Kharkiv and their major offensive in Donbas has stalled.

“Russia’s war in Ukraine is not going as Moscow have planned. It failed to take Kyiv,” Stoltenberg said.

“They are pulling back from around Kharkiv, their major offensive in Donbas has stalled. Russia is not achieving its strategic objectives.”

He added, “Ukrainians are bravely defending their homeland. To help them to do so, allies have committed and delivered security assistance to Ukraine worth billions of dollars.

Russia and Ukraine have been fighting for almost three months.

Several casualties have already been recorded as a result of the war.

Russian President, Vladimir Putin, has in February ordered the invasion of Ukraine due to some political differences.
