Saka leaves England camp

Date:

Bukayo Saka has departed from the England camp and returned to Arsenal for further evaluation of his injury.

The 23-year-old sustained the issue during the Three Lions’ 2-1 defeat to Greece on Thursday.

Saka limped off early in the second half and was replaced by Noni Madueke.

He will now not be part of the 22-man squad for England’s squad for their clash against Finland in Helsinki on Sunday.

Saka’s injury is a setback for Gunners boss Mikel Arteta, who already lost captain Martin Ødegaard to injury during the last international break.

In Ødegaard’s absence, Saka has captained the team and has contributed 10 goals across all competitions this season.
