Saudi League: Al Nassr’s Ronaldo breaks record for goals in a single season

Al Nassr Cristiano Ronaldo has broken the Saudi League’s record for most goals scored in a single season.

Ronaldo struck a stunning header against Al Ittihad to bring his record to 35 goals.

The 39-year-old scored twice as Al Nassr won 2-0.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner has also laid on 11 assists in 31 games.

The previous record was 34 goals scored in the 2018–19 season by Abderrazak Hamdallah.

While Al Hilal sealed the SPL title with three games to go, Ronaldo and his teammates will have one last shot at silverware when they face Al Hilal in the King Cup of Champions final.
