Seamoriow’s U-17 side wrapped up its three-day camp exercise today, culminating in an electrifying match against Breeders PFA.
The camp, which commenced on February 28th, 2024, at Ijebu Ode, saw the young talents undergo intensive training sessions under the expert guidance of Coaches Olanrewaju Olojo, Samson, and Kehinde.
The climax of the camp unfolded earlier today at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan Stadium, where Seamoriow U-17 faced off against Breeders PFA. Despite an impressive start, seizing a 2-0 lead early on, Seamoriow’s momentum faced a setback with Ajisope Opeyemi’s red card, allowing Breeders PFA to level the score 2-2 in the 87th minute through a well-executed free kick.
Reflecting on the match, Coach Olanrewaju Olojo emphasized the team’s dedication while acknowledging the need for continuous improvement. “The lads gave their best, but we will keep working to enhance the team’s standard. Our ultimate goal is to propel these young talents to national youth teams and beyond,” he stated.
The camp’s significance was underscored by the victory secured in the first test match upon the team’s arrival in Ijebu Ode on February 29th. Facing off against Switch FA, Seamoriow U-17 displayed commendable performance, clinching a 3-1 win with goals from Opeyemi, Fuad, and a late penalty converted by Dolapo.
