Seamoriow FC on Sunday at the Legacy Pitch, Surulere, Lagos emerged winners of the inaugural Peace Cup Scouting Tournament.
The high – flying side defeated fans favourites, FC Bethel Sporting 2-0 in the final match to cart away the giant trophy.
In the losers final played shortly before the final, Bayine Sports humbled SGFC Athletics by 2-0 to win the third place.
Speaking after the matches, Nathaniel Olagunju who is one of the conveners of the program, thanked all participated teams for their conduct, discipline, high quality of play and competitiveness while also congratulating the champions Seamoriow FC for their deserved victory.
“My congratulations goes to our worthy champions, Seamoriow FC for emerging winners.
“I want to also appreciate every team that participated in this tournament for their display of professionalism.
“The quality of football on display was high which I must say that our partners were really impressed.
“We look forward to having some of our players using this platform to further their career in Europe,” he stated
This year’s edition of the tournament was sponsored by Fisoye Akinyemi, President FIMA FC.
