A Serbian UEFA Pro licensed coach, Boris Savic has been drilling FC Bethel Sporting ahead of their Lagos Supremacy Cup Scouting Tournament which comes up at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena from November 27 – November 30.
Boris was an assistant coach with Red Star Belgrade and was also their Academy coach before now.
Bethel were drawn in a tough Group B where they will face strong oppositions like Beyond Limits FA, Seamoriow FC, MS Success FC and Charlesann FC. While Group A parades teams such as 36 Lion FC, Dino FC.
Ikorodu City FC, Broad City FC and Real Sapphire FC.
The Lagos Supremacy Cup, which is in its 19th edition, has earned a name for itself as one of the best Scouting Tournaments in Nigeria
To continue in its tradition, 10 expatriates are coming which includes Sporting Directors/Scouts from the Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, Poland.
Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland.
United Kingdom and Brazil.
These are decision makers for their underlining clubs which is key to ensuring that participating teams get the desired expectations as has always been the case with every Lagos Supremacy scouting tournament.
Recall that FC Bethel Sporting recently won the 1X Bet Community Cup competition with over 200 grassroots teams to win the N10m prize money plus the giant silver cup.
This makes it an uphill task for FC Bethel Sporting but coach Nathaniel Olagunju is unfazed as he promises that they will approach each game as they come.
“We know the expectation from us is high, but we are equal to the task and will take each game at a time, he said.
“The boys are in top spirit and we have worked very hard for this tournament, including bringing Serbian trainers to compliment our job.
“We have no doubt that the boys will do well”.
Boris came in company of a top scout who scouts for Red Star Belgrade and other major European clubs, Marko Ljuboja.
James Adebayo is FC Bethel Sporting Director who played a very pivotal role in making this happen.
