Serie A: Abraham doubtful for tonight’s Roma match

Date:

Roma might be even more decimated than previously thought against Hellas Verona this evening, as Tammy Abraham is suffering from flu symptoms.

It kicks off at the Stadio Olimpico at 19.45 GMT.

Jose Mourinho already knew that his choices were extremely limited going into this match, especially after Thursday’s 1-0 Europa League play-off defeat to RB Salzburg in Austria.

Paulo Dybala and Lorenzo Pellegrini are carrying muscular issues and unlikely to feature, but now Abraham too is a major doubt after coming down with flu symptoms.

This probably means a completely new front two of Andrea Belotti and January signing Ola Solbakken, who will be getting his first start in the Roma jersey.

Other changes could see Edoardo Bove or Benjamin Tahirovic, both products of the youth academy, step into midfield.
