Serie A: Chukwueze makes winning debut with AC Milan

Super Eagles winger Samuel Chukwueze made his debut for AC Milan in their 2-0 victory over Bologna in matchday one of the Italian Serie A played at Stadio Renato Dall’Ara on Monday night.

The seven-time European champions got their first of the night through Olivier Giroud who was assisted by Tijjani Reijnders.

Giroud will be the provider of the second goal when he assisted United States of America International Christian Pulisic to double the Rossoneri lead.

Chukwueze would come on as a substitute in the 73rd minute for Pulisic.

He got his first taste of action in the 76th minute through a corner kick which got cleared by the Bologna defence.

The 24-year-old didn’t have much to do as Stefano Pioli was looking to protect their lead when he came on.

The former Villarreal forward only had 12 touches of the ball, attempted just one dribble and completed 63% of his passes.

Chukwueze has his work cut out with Pulisic who started in his place on the right wing having a good game.

He will have another chance to impress when AC Milan host Torino on Saturday at the San Siro Stadium.
