Serie A outfit, Empoli have praised Tyrone Ebuehi after the Nigeria defender scored his first goal for the club.
Ebuehi netted the winning goal on 55 minutes as Empoli defeated Sampdoria 1-0 at the Stadio Carlo Castellani on Tuesday night.
The 27-year-old entered the history book as the third Nigerian defender to score in the Italian top-flight following the decisive strike.
The other two are, Taribo West and Olaoluwa Aina.
Ebuehi also registered one interception, two tackles and won three duels during the game.
The versatile defender was replaced by Petar Stojankovic 17 minutes from time.
