Nigeria and Atalanta ace, Ademola Lookman, has said he was not in the competition with fellow countryman and Napoli striker, Victor Osimhen, for the Serie A highest scorer’s award.
Osimhen and Lookman are locked in a fierce battle for the top scorer in Serie A this season and Atalanta forward has gone ahead to praise his fellow Super Eagles star.
Napoli striker Osimhen is the leading scorer in the Italian top league with 16 goals thus far, while Lookman is not far behind with 12 goals.
Will Lookman outscore Osimhen in the Serie A goals race?
“I’ve never thought about records and I want to continue to improve,” the Atalanta forward answered.
“I have just one target and I focus on one game at a time.
“We’ll see what I have reached at the end.”
The forward, who changed his international allegiance to Nigeria from England, revealed he joined Alatanta this season because they score “many goals”.
