Napoli are working to finalise the contract renewal of star striker Victor Osimhen before the end of their pre-season training camp in Castel di Sangro.
The 24-year-old Nigerian striker only has two years left on his contract with the reigning champions and has been linked to a number of top clubs around Europe this summer, like Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich and Manchester United.
Napoli do not want to sell Osimhen, seemingly wanting upwards of €180m for his signature, and in the last few weeks they’ve been negotiating a new contract with his agent Roberto Calenda.
As detailed by Di Marzio, Osimhen’s agent Calenda has now left the Napoli training camp in Dimaro after three days of negotiations with club president Aurelio De Laurentiis.
Progress has been made and both parties are now working to reach a total agreement by the end of the Castel di Sangro retreat, which starts on July 28 and comes to a close on August 12.
