AC Milan coach, Stefano Pioli, has revealed they’re ready for today’s huge clash with Napoli.
Pioli is confident Fikayo Tomori can handle his match-up with Napoli striker Victor Osimhen.
He said, “The matches will be more and more like that with duels. Tomori has had an injury… otherwise what are we training for!
“I have no doubts about Fik’s qualities, both in defence and in setting. He will find a strong opponent, it will be a fascinating duel.”
Pioli continued: “The stats are influenced by our build-up play, our desire to fill the positions between the lines. We don’t tend to go deep to cross, but when you get there you need to have more quality in the crosses.
“Many times we prefer to play inside rather than outside, but I also think it would be better to start outside and then go inside.”
He was unsure exactly what type of game that Napoli would play.
“At 3pm Luciano will hold his conference, you have to ask him! We have to be able to read all the situations, knowing how to get out of the pressure when it is strong or understand when they will wait for us to dribble well and play in their half of the field. We have to be very focused and very prepared.”
