Smart City Chairman Congratulates Gusau, Others

Smart city chairman, Adeboye Anthony Adeyinka, has sent his words of Congratulations to newly elected NFF president, Alhaji Ibrahim Gusau, who emerged as the new man to run the affairs of the heightest level of Nigerian football.

The election which took place in Benin city, Edo state, on friday, saw the high and mighty of football converged in Benin for one of Nigeria’s most highly anticipated elections, which was witnessed by FIFA and CAF officials.

Adeboye who is the senior special assistant to Lagos state governor on Sports, said, Gusau’s emergence as the new NFF president, was well deserved, because, Gusau has been in the system for long and he will make a good president in his tenure.

“I want to say a big Congratulations to Alhaji Gusau for his victory as the new NFF president, all other contestant deserved to be president too, but only one winner can emerge in such situation, and Gusau came out tops, we all must put hands together to help him succeed in his quest to take our football to the next level” he said.

“I have worked with Gusau and barrister seyi Akinwunmi in the NFF and they both has shown over the years of their competence and dedication to duties, but only one winner must emerge” he added “I also congratulate, others elected into different positions, I wish all of them best of luck and i pray their tenure will be fruitful” he concluded.

Adeboye is the chairman of smart city, and also the senior special assistant on Sports to governor of Lagos state.
