Smart City football club of Lagos, on Saturday ran ragged of their opponents, Vandrezzer fc and made sure they left Lagos empty handed, as they pummelled them 2-0 in a week 4 clash, in the Nigeria National League.

  The game which took place at the Mobolaji Johnson Stadium, formerly known as Onikan stadium, saw city starting the game with so much vigor and tenacity, piling unrentless pressure on their opponents and crowning their efforts with two quick goals, through, Monday Emmanuel and Chukwudi Ekeocha, to settle the nerves of the city fans and faithfuls.

  The game which was keenly contested, saw city holding on to their lead for the entire 90mins, after all efforts by Vandrezzer fighting hard to get something from the game, proved futile, as city held their own and ran away with the hard earned victory.

   Meanwhile, smart city, president, Adeboye Anthony Adeyinka, who watched the game, told the boys after the game, that, he is totally impressed with the performance of his boys, saying the boys are improving game after game, while also paying the players’ match bonuses in the dressing room to show his appreciation.

  “I want to say, I am very happy with the victory and performance of my boys, they really showed great determination and character in the game and i am very elated we got all three points from the match” he said.

  “I encouraged the boys more, by paying their match bonuses in the dressing room and I believe that will motivate them going into our next game” added.

Smart will face Ekiti United away from home in their next game in the NNL
