Smart City Smash Zenith Emperor Fc

Smart city football club of Lagos, continued their fine form in their maiden edition of the Nationwide league one season, as they smashed helpless Zenith Emperor fc 3-0 on Friday, at the Teslim Balogun stadium, surulere, Lagos.

City in their usual style, came out blistering from the blast of the whistle, as they wasted no time in punishing their opponent with an early goal in the eight minute of play, through heavily experienced striker, Godfrey west, who sliced in a low shot into the far low corner of the net to put city on the front foot.

City, didn’t look back from there, as they continued to inflict constant pressure on their opposition, which resulted in two more goals, through hard working striker, Abiodun Ibrahim, who scored two goals in the game to make sure the points are safe for city. The BAT boys were dominant through out the entire 90mins, as they kept a clean sheet with maximum points too.
Speaking after the game, smart city heavenly gifted tactician, Gafari Mohamed, told press men that, they are not looking back in terms of gaining promotion to the NNL.

“I want say, am totally grateful to God for this victory, I also want to congratulate my boys for putting up a sterling performance and we thoroughly deserved our victory” he said.

He also added that, “we are currently toping the table, we will continue to work hard to maintain that position till the end of the season, because the only thing in our minds is a promotion ticked to the NNL” he concluded.
City are currently topping the NLO group A1 table after five rounds of games. City will play their next game away from home next week.
