Smart city president, Adeboye Anthony Adeyinka, on Monday brought health experts from Joel Nwiloh heart foundation to lecture and teach members of staffs and players of Smart City on CPR situations when there is an emergency.
The training which took place after the team’s training session on Monday, was very insightful and beneficial to the team, as the players and officials were really elated with the first hand knowledge they benefitted from the training.
Speaking after the training, team manager of Smart City, Adekeye, said, they are heavily grateful to the president of Smart City for putting such a good health training for the team, saying its a good step forward for the team.
“This initiative by our amiable president is totally huge and beneficial to the team, its a good one and this has opened our minds to able to help out in emergency situations” he said.
Meanwhile, technical director of the team, Abiodun Obafemi, was on the same page with the general manager, saying such training is a necessity, not only for footballers, but even in our homes and all works of life.

“I think, this is a very wonderful initiative from our president, its a necessity not only for football but everyone should have knowledge of the CPR situation and it will go along way in saving lives” he added.
Furthermore, head coach of Smart City, Kabiru Alausa, he is totally happy with the CPR training.
“This kind of training should be continuous, because it will really help our team and footballers in an emergency situation, saying, all sports and the general public should have this kind of training. I thank the club’s president for such initiative, its a step in the right direction for the club” he concluded.
