Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhuttl believes he has found a perfect role for Joe Aribo who joined from Scottish Premiership giants, Rangers in the summer.
The Nigerian impressed as a right forward despite defeat at Crystal Palace on Saturday and Hasenhuttl says the role is perfect for the 26 year old.
”I think we have found a position for him where he can create things. Especially around the box he has some really good moves and I think he created two good
chances,” Hasenhuttl told the Daily Echo, after the Palace match.
In Southampton’s last two games, the Nigerian was used as an out-right striker – including deputising for Che Adams when he was benched versus Arsenal due to fitness
concerns.
The Super Eagles star has scored twice so far in his debut Premier League season – only Adams has more for Saints.
He has featured in all 13 Premier League games played by Southampton so far this season and one of only three to have done so.
His 28 successful tackles so far this term is the second most by a Southampton player behind Mohammed Salisu of Ghana (32).
